The Woodlands, TX – The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is looking for volunteers to assist with the second annual event set for April 14 and 15, 2007, along The Woodlands Waterway® in The Woodlands Town Center.  The festival needs approximately 750 volunteers over the weekend to assist in areas such as guest relations, artist relations, children’s art activities, the student art area, ticketing, the performing arts stages and more.  Volunteers are asked to work a four-hour shift and receive free admission to the festival and a festival t-shirt featuring artwork created by Barbara Franklet, the festival's featured artist.  Individuals as well as charity groups and service organizations can volunteer.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals and organizations to participate in an event that will be visited by thousands of people—adults and children," said Brenda Gottlieb, festival chairwoman.  "These volunteers are essential to making the festival a success.”

The two-day Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival features more than 200 national and regional artists of various mediums selling their original creations.  The festival takes place along the meandering Waterway from The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, alongside The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and culminating at Town Green Park.  Festival hours are 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday.  Admission is $10 for adults.  Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge.
