The Woodlands Arts Council

In the spring of 2005, several community leaders in The Woodlands established The Woodlands Arts Council. The mission of The Woodlands Arts Council, Inc. is to provide regional cultural enrichment opportunities that encourage, support and promote the performing and visual arts. Its strategic priorities are to (1) present The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival and other community art events; (2) offer scholarships to aspiring young artists; (3) support performing and visual arts programs in the schools; and (4) develop partnerships with others to create a strong arts presence in the area. The Woodlands Arts Council is made up of members from The Woodlands Development Company, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Woodlands Township and additional community leaders interested in the arts.
