The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival
Call for Performing Arts Applications
Deadline: March 1, 2014
The WWAF is now accepting applications for performing artists until March 1, 2014.
The 9th annual Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is one of the top 10 fine arts festivals in the nation. We have 2 performing arts stages; Art & Culture in Montgomery County Stage is dedicated to local art and culture groups within Montgomery County and Palette Café Stage, our main attraction, show casing local professional performers from Houston, Louisiana, Denton and Austin.
Artists will be selected by a peer jury comprised of musicians, music critics, and other professionals in the performing arts. Jury selections will be based upon materials submitted with the application.
Live performance is a very important aspect of our evaluation process, which is why we provide you with the opportunity to present that to us either with audio or video clips. Please provide relevant Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, or website links to help us make the best evaluation of your performance.
Accepted performing artists are required to sign a contract with the Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, specifying, among other things, payments, requirements and liability. Notification by email will be made by March 10th. Contracts will be mailed by March 15, and must be returned no later than March 30th.
The Festival does not pay transportation or housing for local or regional artists. No onsite payments will be made. All checks will be mailed by April 30th. Information packets detailing all production and setup information will be sent to accepted artists with their contract.
