Volunteers Needed for The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival

The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is looking for volunteers to assist with the event set for April 12-13, 2008 along The Woodlands Waterway in Town Center. The festival needs approximately 700 volunteers over the weekend to assist in areas such as guest relations, artist relations and assistance with the children’s art activities and the performing arts stage.

Volunteers must be 17 years of age or older.

Proceeds from The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival will be donated to local organizations for arts-related programs.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals and local organizations to participate in an event that will be visited by thousands of people—adults and children. And as the festival grows, selected volunteer charity partners will be able to raise more funds for their arts-related programs, as well as increase awareness of the arts in general,” said Festival Chairperson Brenda Gottlieb.

The two-day festival will feature more than 200 artists with original artwork and fine crafts. Festival hours are 10-8 PM on Saturday and 10-6 PM Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge.
